Ebs is a true top line right winger by the numbers. He had a season of 76 at 21 years old. And averaged 65pts/82gp over half a decade which is good for like 5th in rw scoring over that time. And he's just getting into his prime.

I suppose there's something to be said about nuges less than huge numbers though. Especially from someone who doesn't see him lots. Butt At 23 his ceiling is still very high.

Edmonton is going to be fine. It's just taking them longer to turn things around than most other teams. They will be a threat to compete, imo. It's a matter of when, not if. I applaud their patience and not rushing to make a move which is when teams make their worst decisions. I also think it wise for them to keep Hall. Trade Eberle RNH and yak. Or just 2of the 3. That should net them a good return and still leave them with an embarrassment of riches when it comes to high level young talent.
