The price likely starts with Hall, Nurse, and our 2017 1st. Even then I don't know that they do it. Maybe they want Drai over Hall for the cap savings because they're a budget team, as you mentioned. It wouldn't make sense for them to move him, though.

I'd rather have Hall than Lucic if that's what it comes down to. There are only a handful of players I would trade Hall for. OEL, Pieterangelo, John Carlson would be at the top of the list. If they trade Hall it better be for one of those guys or similar. Other than that trade Nuge, Ebs, Drai. Really anyone besides McDavid. IMO Hall should be part of the core going forward. I think the Oilers should try and trade Ebs + to Calgary for T.J. Brody. Not saying any of this is realistic just what I would like to see.

What your saying has merit- but something is definitely fishy that Hall has been circled so many times in trade bait since near draft and now... SOmething is up and management if it comes to fruition obviously knows something about Hall that we dont... Wouldnt surprise me if he asked for a trade...

I think the media is pumping Hall as trade bait because frankly he is the best player on the team not named McDavid. It's sexy to talk about especially when it involves other teams. I don't doubt team are calling about him which also fuels speculation. All I'm saying if they trade him they better get a Dman back that is young and is Norris Caliber if they don't get that, then they lose any trade they make. Especially if the reason for a poor trade is due to overpaying a free agent.

I don't have an issue with Fayne there, I just liked Gryba. Same way I liked Sutton when he was here. Opposing forwards showed a little more hesitancy entering the zone at times. It's good to see the occasional crushing hit, and Gryba didn't ever seem to put himself out of position doing it.

Somethings gotta move. Especially if you sign both, but even just one, salary is gonna start looking a bit tight and Drai/Yak (assumimg you keep the latter) are due up next year. Better yet, package Yak + an RNH to get the 1RHD and start planning the parade. Assuming Talbot is the guy.

I was thinking Vancouver was gonna make the regretable overpay. Will reserve judgment until term comes out. Anything longer than 5 yrs and/or 5.5m is gonna be bad.
