Had we let Vanek walk, we'd have Myers, Magnus Paajarvi (or Kassian), Taylor Hall or Seguin, and RNH. We'd have a hell of a time bottoming out with the latter two on the roster. I'd bet those two get us a few more wins in 13-14 and 14-15. Maybe we draft Bennett or Drats. Maybe we finish 27th in 2015, which gives us the rights to McDavid. Lots of what ifs.

No you don't. He listed 3 players. 4 players were guaranteed to be gone by the time the Sabres pick. Guessing who'd the Sabres draft at 8, wasn't that difficult, especially giving a list of 3.
