I turn on the WGR stream for the first time in maybe a year and totally regret it

All I hear is stamkos "he would not" stamkos "he would not " stamkos he would not stamkos he would not stamkos "he would not"

That was enough for me

I was about to listen to TSN interview with one of the insiders and they were talking about how Lucic and Demers were in Edmonton and how it was nice out and showed the city off great and the one douche goes "Yeah, you know what I would do? If I was Edmonton, I would schedule my meeting after Buffalo! That's what I would do. You don't want to follow Vancouver..."

Colborne had 44 points last year and could be a nice 3rd liner if moves are made like 28 being traded.

I'm curious how his injury is. I don't know if it was ever classified outside of upper-body. Could be a great 3rd line scoring winger. he played well for the ducks in the few games he played.

I agree, most of all with Pirri. Still only 25, knows Kulikov and is pretty much a .5 ppg player. Wish we'd make a smart move and grab a guy like him for the 3rd line.

22g in 49gp was a fluke IMO.

His pace last year is more in line of what he is.

For those like me wondering why stuff on Stamkos has been real quiet...

A reminder that teams aren't actually allowed to negotiate specifc terms or make deals with free agents during the conversation period.

Not saying there's never under-the-table stuff. But if a deal leaked out ahead of time ... would be interesting.

A lot of finesse required here. I don't understand why they wouldn't just make it like the NBA.

They move 28, I'd like to see him as a possible replacement.

If Demers and Lucic sign in Edmonton, who would do a Franson+ pick for Benoit Poliout trade.

Poliout is an ideal 3rd line LW that can produce like a top 6 player

Not at that contract (3 yrs at 4 mil)

He produces like a low end 2nd line player (on bad teams) but is nothing more than a 3rd liner.

He produced more per 60 this season than Eberle.

I agree he's a 3rd liner, but I think we need a tweener or 2 for the bottom 6. Don't really want Gionta or Foligno moving up due to injury

He can't stay healthy to save his life.

No need to add another overpriced 3rd liner, this team is already chalked full of them IMO.

At the same point, last year he was at 24 pts in 53 games, then 5 in 9 in the playoffs. Still pretty close to a half point per game. 80 pts in 166 games in career as well.

This makes no sense to me. I thought the NHL opened this period up because so many free agents were signing at noon on the first day. It was obvious tampering was happening, and i thought they implemented this period so it doesn't look so fishy when a player signs right away. Yet, if you can't talk term and money, it looks just as fishy.

Another player unfortunately that has injury issues.

Gotta wonder why a cash strapped team like Ana didn't qualify him at the 1,017,500?

Benning just got fined $50,000 just for answering a question on the radio. Imagine if a pre-worked contract leaked? I'm guessing 1st round pick loss. Plus $250,000 fine. What did the Pats lose for Spygate? I think it was a 1st plus a $250,000 fine.

Too much money. Benoit "balls" just isn't worth north of $4M.

I'd much rather have Stempniak for just a couple million and no assets. I just don't like Benoit "balls" so maybe that's clouding my judgement.

I think that's where they're going. Because there's no way they work out a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal with stipulations, bonuses, differing salary, in 15 minutes.

Edit: hatty.
