Apparently the Islanders head scout believes, with some degree of confidence, that Golyshev can be bought out of his deal after this upcoming season. No idea what his level of interest in playing in the NHL is.

Ultimately it doesn't matter. If he doesn't come here, who cares. It was a 4th round pick. I think that pick and the Day pick by you guys were two of the best picks in the entire draft.

Just talked to agent Rick Curran about Eric Staal. He says he's talked to a number of teams. Looking for top 6 role, preferably at center.

I was only joking, I had no idea who he was. Could have been your 1st round pick for all I knew.

you have Ranger fans putting him in the Hall of Fame and then this is 180 degrees in the other direction

they wouldn't have been sending Drury over there constantly and doing all they have done the last couple of years if they didn't feel like he had a chance to succeed

Buchnevich will be fine. So he needs to bulk up, okay, but there's no need to send him for conditioning. Not that the KHL is overly physical but he fared well against older and fully matured opponents.
