Was referring to TPC. Not just him, but if the Rangers do re-sign Kreider and Buch happen to jump him in the depth it's going to be "Why is AV playing inexperienced kid over veteran" vs "Buchnevich makes his line mates better because of SAcorsiP/60 etc." Gotta say I'm tired of that argument. - tomburton99
Ooooh, gotcha.
Well I don't think you'll be dealing with anyone soapboxing about Corsi in this thread.
I'm not going to profess to know too much about Buchnevich, but if he is really that good I don't think it's unreasonable to have him jump Kreider. |

Just so you know, I wouldn't make that argument. I have my own reasons - TPC
I know. You just happened to be the first person to comment. |

You can't have a 4+ million dollar 3rd liner. |

Kinda hope the Rangers and Buchnevich agree that he needs to go back to the KHL. He needs to add so muscle to his frame. Plus it will give us some clarity. His first good stretch we as a fan base will claim all start/calder finalist. First bad stretch, AV will have him in the press box and the fan base will want him fired for the 1 millionth time. - tomburton99
this is to the other extreme
you have Ranger fans putting him in the Hall of Fame and then this is 180 degrees in the other direction
they wouldn't have been sending Drury over there constantly and doing all they have done the last couple of years if they didn't feel like he had a chance to succeed |

Sure you can. Lots of teams do. $4M today isn't what it was 3-4 years ago. |

AHL would have been the perfect option. Dumb they took that out of the contract |

I know, but honestly after seeing his size, I would have made that the Rangers sticking point. One big hit he looks like he is going to break into a million pieces. |

Can't really blame Buchnevich. It would be real hard to go from making millions in your native country, to flying halfway across the world to a place where you don't speak the language and are only making $75,000/yr |

Buchnevich isn't as soft as your pansy ass. He'll take a big hit, wash down some vodka, and come back better from it. |

I don't blame him at all.
We have morons like RD who already think he is a 1st line player, and HOF inductee |

And that's the problem. The view of Buchnevich going to sway from week to week; maybe game to game. |

I hope he makes an impact on the team but I have my doubts. How many young Russians from the KHL make the jump right into the NHL without any AHL time? |

Panarin did it
Future Islanders-superstar Anatoly Golyshev will do it |

Tarasenko and Kuznetsov. But they spent at least 4 years in the KHL. Buchnevich only has spent 3. I'm almost certain one more year would do him so good. |

If he didn't, my point still stands, its rare.

Just talked to agent Rick Curran about Eric Staal. He says he's talked to a number of teams. Looking for top 6 role, preferably at center. |
