....and that's different from Toronto how?
- mykokes

ROR is better than Kadri.

Heck people on here wanted him to be our 1C.

Oh yeah, I get what you mean, for sure. You have a great point.. but to be fair, the same could be said for Buffalo too with their C. Maybe it's not a guarantee there either. They also have Reinhart too (I believe is a natural C, but I'm not sure if they moved him to the wing)

but IMHO, Kadri gets dealt in 3 years. That would/could solidify Stamkos-Matthews as 1-2. Nylander & Marner as wingers .

- MCharisma91

If we get Stamkos then Bozak or Kadri gets traded this summer.

Rather unequivocally.

Actually he said Matthews would start on the 3rd line.
- Fakepartofme

Does it really matter though? Lol . Who cares. Whether it's Kadri or Matthews at 3C .

He also said he's excited to work with Dion Phaneuf.

I didn't mean it as next year, but who knows, maybe AM plays his way to 2C . As long as we ice at least 3 scoring lines , I'm happy.

I'm just saying they won't guarantee it for 7 years. Doesn't seem like they would give him that. Who knows what happens in that time. Someone on the team can emerge and surprise us or his game can fall way off. Of what if he wants to be #1 c every year. I see it as being important to Stamkos decision. Just my imo, not looking for a cosign.
- systemtool

Exactly.
Babs wont guarantee that. Maybe short term.
Long term he goes where babs wants him.

If he were to sign.

I wasn't even considering the line ups or depth. Just a demand he MAY make that toronto won't be willing to guarantee. Another team might. Didn't ever say which other teams so not sure why this is a to vs buff thing. Det can offer it. Rangers. Bruins. Alot of other teams in the mix imo.

Most def Bozak... Kadri will get dealt a few years later. That's my opinion.

uh....I'm so confused. Are you supporting me, or disagreeing with me?

I'm saying Buffalo has two top line centres, yet some people here are saying Stamkos wanting to play centre is only a problem in Toronto, but not in Buffalo.

I wasn't saying Kadri was as good as RoR

I think DET & NYR can offer it 100%, but NYR need to unload some contracts ASAP. I wouldn't mind Stamkos as a NYR either.

Well, we all knows how the real Babcock coaches... 4 full lines..Surely the 3 first lines would have almost the same TOI.. and then mix the 3 lines to make 2 PP lines.

Saw Matthews on the point at Worlds.. wonder if that'll be looked into.

So I been thinking...

Is it possible that the Leafs came out of the draft with lots of older players on purpose because it will allow them to play in the AHL right off the bat instead of Jr, which means that they get to refill the cupboards after all the star young kids get roster spots on the big club?

I hope not. The only positive about Matthews playing the point is he doesn't get hit by a slapper from the point.

He's our biggest center. He loves to battle for position and he has some sick hands to bang in the loose pucks, he should be there front and center on the first PP. Stamkos would be great at the point but that's not happening.

Yeah, that's what I said after Rd 2, but the "experts" on HockeyBuzz shot it down. We're most likely gonna flood the Marlies though.

They were my second fave team also. Love the way they overachieved for a few years and had great playoff runs (beating Ottawa )

Lately though, they've been kind of meh. Maybe the Garf/Pachla stupidity and some of their fans here have ruined it for me.

- Aetherial

We Still love you.

Also, Eff the Sens.
