I am not complaining ..Its good to see other teams investing in Bollands - senstroll
Now now.
Shaw is 24, annoying as (frank) to play against and is signed at a reasonable (not great) price.
I honestly don't mind this signing at all. |

i think it was pretty evident that without price the habs dont have what it takes as a whole
sure its good to have a star goalie... but if your team falls apart with the absence of one player there are problems.... maybe last year was a wake up call for the habs franchise - Dozzer
I agree completely, but Montreal is a very tough market, they are used to and expect winning. I am not so sure their fan base would tolerate a tear down that would be similar to what happened in Toronto. They certainly have one of the best goalies on the planet but that in itself is a curse for a non playoff team, because you are unlikely to drop down low enough to get a top talent. This is why trading Subban before July 1 made so much sense - they could have easily got Edmonton's pick. |

Its scary how bad they are without Price..
But i don't think the received a wake up call.. I don't think they even think anything is wrong. which is splendid.. - Tanooki
The Leafs played the Habs twice in the first 10 games of the season last year, including a game in Montreal where we outshot them 50-22 and lost because we had Bernier in net and they had Price
I thought to myself at the time, the Habs are a truly bad team, and when Price went down it was proven. I think they were 7-0 at the time. |

What do you mean by they expect winning?
They have up and down seasons.. Its not like the fanbase would riot (knock on wood).. Montreal had their chance at a rebuild when they drafted Galy and Gallagher.. But they (frank)ed it up and didnt keep acquiring prospects.. They are screwed. |

Around him? no.
But clearly he can be part of a winning team.... 2 cups in 5 years in Chicago kinda proves that. |

if you can sign a 3rd liner guy long term to provide grit you gotta do it
those signings always work out and teams never regret it |

Yzerman's next battle will be to get Hedman to accept less than Subban money. - Leafsandbolts
Good luck with that, I can't see him getting signed before he tests the market. If he does, he will get a Weber type deal from someone. It's unlikely that Tampa can get anywhere near that. |

Well if they don't sign Stamkos... they should still have the money.
I believe Hedman is even more important to them. |
