I think all the American market teams are more likely than the Canadian teams strictly because of taxes and media/fan scrutiny. There may be some free agent once in a blue moon that will choose their childhood team over others, but its rare; if it were common MTL and TOR would be stacked because majority of star players in this league grew up near or cheering for one of the two.
