In happier news

06/28/2016 Louis Leblanc (F) Lausanne Retired

- AdamFrench

He was in an interview last week said he was looking at his options in Europe.

Can't believe the interviewer actually asked him if he wanted to comeback in the NHL

The options were tier-3 league in Germany or the English Ice Hockey League. But with Brexit and all, his choice was pretty clear.

Backes would fit well. He knows all about first round exits.

Somebody will sign vanek for a 2 years at 5 million a season. You could probably do worse.

He will get a deal like Parenteau did last year.

I actually think it would be a really good fit. Would solve the size down the middle.

Stamkos
Backes
Plek
Mitchell

Not bad

The Canadiens have a franchise goaltender in Carey Price, a franchise defenceman in P.K. Subban, an elite scorer in Max Pacioretty, a budding star in Alex Galchenyuk, and a couple of warriors in Brendan Gallagher and newly acquired centre Andrew Shaw. It’s a core that should give Stamkos confidence he’ll have a chance at winning over the course of his new deal. And his place as the team’s top centre would be virtually secured throughout.

If Galchenyuk is a budding superstar...why is he centering the second line under the obviously declining Stamkos?
