We have a small skilled 3rd line center now and all he does is chase the puck around all night.

Wow... no qualifying offers for Landon Ferraro and Brett Connolly?! Just letting both those guys walk for nothing?

They need roster spots for Kelly and such.

The amount of second and third rounders wasted is crazy...........Donny makes it rain 2's and 3's up in this female dog.

Yeah, there's been picks coming and going left and right...

I was wondering if they we're just trading away mid round picks, so I checked to see how they were looking next year, and they currently have: a 1st, a 2nd(Oilers), no 3rd, a 4th, no 5th, a 6th, and two 7ths.

So they still have a majority of their picks... but it does feel like there have been a lot of mid round picks wasted on "character" roster guys, that have basically been rentals. It feels like they don't have confidence to draft in the mid rounds so they're trying to grab random veterans that they hope to hit a home run on. It kind of feels like the opposite of what we should have been doing for the past couple years.

And now to let Connolly walk for nothing is essentially 2 picks thrown away, and Ferraro seemed like such a great steal for this team... I gotta imagine they could have at least gotten some draft picks in return for those guys, even if they we're later than what we gave up for Connolly... get something!

I gotta imagine Kelly is a done deal coming back to the team if they let Ferraro walk... and maybe Griffith is in for sure... Kelly and Griffith as your two bottom 6 C's and move Spooner out to the wing. UNLESS WE GET STAMKOS

Cant it be that they are negotiating with Connolly and don't need to give him an offer sheet? Or does it really mean no chance of signing him? Same for Ferraro. This makes no sense. Unless they really think they can upgrade from within cheaper to sign eriksson and/or a d man.

I think it is too soon to be giving up on them though.

Obviously.

Apparently they are lengthening years for the contract of eriksson if he comes down on salary. Kind of obvious to me. If he goes down to 5 for 5, taken him in a heartbeat!
