Not fair to compare the hockey franchises.

The Leafs won their Cups when there were only 6 teams. So in today's NHL that is the equivalent of winning a division.

Since 1970, the Sabres have been to 2 Stanley Cup Finals and the Leafs have not been to any.

Since 1970, the Sabres have a higher regular season win %, more playoff series wins and have the better head to head record. AND the Sabres beat the Leafs in the 1999 ECF.

As for the cities, I like them both. Have been to each hundreds of times as I live in southern Ontario.

There is more to do and see in Toronto, but Buffalo has nicer residents.

- Losman

I don't think stamkos will have an issue in Toronto with there "less nice residents"

Guess you didn't read the blog if you think that post was the most ignorant and one sided and blatantly incorrect (delusional too) thing said here.

Why do the laughs always lose? Only a toronto maple laugh fan takes pride in being a loser.

Very cute: Toronto 13 Stanley Cup Championships, Buffalo 0 Stanley Cup Championships

Oh Well, you always have OJ Simpson, biggest sports hero in Buffalo history.
Kane and OJ, classy players, classy place.

How many Stanley cup Parades have you seen in Toronto?

I love Toronto fans. We have 13 Stanley cups from 50 years ago. Sure I never got to enjoy those but we got em. 50 years ago my granddaddy was there and told me all about them. Good times!

By the way I am not even American dumbass so what do I care about the city? As for Oj Simpson I am a Broncos fan and ya I saw plenty of championships including last year.

How's the Argos doing?

If Toronto is such a great place to live and players love to go home and play for the leafs, then why did Gretzky decide to play with the rangers instead of a few miles east of Brantford Ontario?
- homiedclown

Gretzky wanted to play for Toronto

Last place losers lol.

Didn't feel like losers watching Auston Matthews shake hands with the best coach in the league on draft night.

Nothing gets a point across like 5 posts in a row. That's impressive, but it's really impressive on a Garth blog. Congratulations. Welcome to Canton baby! You belong in the HB HOF.

It's their, not there.

Give it a rest. Both organizations are trying to turn things around and become winners. Hopefully there can be meaningful hockey between the two within the next couple of years.

Hopefully not. Hopefully the Sabres hoist a cup and the Leafs and all their beloved fans continue to tell themselves and anyone else that will listen they are some relevant storied franchise even though their overrated slop sucks year in and year out. You're welcome.

Leafs are a storied franchise, unlike the Sabres, winning championships is hard, as evidenced by the over 46 years that Buffalo has not won the cup.

Could care less about the Argos, but I do go to see the Jays farm team in Buffalo once in a while.
