Probably not but he's already made a boatload and on the decline so maybe he wants a last grab at the brass ring and is willing to sign cheap.

All I will say is

I already watched it a second time and the music composition for the episode was some of the best of all time.

- bhawks2241

Agreed. The way it was slowly building up during that opening scene was absolutely amazing. You could sense something crazy was going to happen.

I'd take him, assuming the AAV worked out well

Thoughts on this proposition?
Anyway you work the math, after this year one of the "core" (including Panarin) is going to have to go due to not enough slices of pie to go around.
So I kind of don't blame Stan for going all in at the TDL, and I definitely won't blame Stan for going all in this year while we can. Sign some cheap vets but give them huge performance bonuses for winning the Stanley cup. (So the bonuses can be carried over to next year)
Win the cup.
Blow up the team a bit (and let all the cheap vets on 1 year deals go)
Draft high for a year or two, and then go on another few cup runs while Kane/Toews are still on there prime.
What do you guys think?

- Slofire94

I think the Hawks have to be in "win now" mode until Keith starts to decline. Hossa is already on the decline and others like Seabrook may start to decline sooner than later. Therefore there shouldn't be any blowup and regroup a couple years later plan because by then our #1 d-man may be heading south.

They did draft Keith, Seabrook, Hammer
- vabeachbear

Considering they were drafted in 02, 03, and 05 and not by the current GM, I would say the track record over the last 11 years since has been awful

Its never really bothered me if people want to talk about other subjects.

Anyone care to discuss that GOT season finale?

I love that Jon is Dany's nephew..I still think they end up together, and rule the 7 kingdoms...Being aunt and nephew doesn't necessarily mean that wont happen now...That's kind of the Targaryen way .....I dont want to wait 9 more months, Its just been confirmed there's only 13 episodes left, 15 if were lucky!

that Bears team was sorta built prior to McCaskey...Jim Finks and Jerry Vainisi have a huge fingerprint on the mid 1980s Bears. All Mccaskey had to do was not (frank) it up.
- kwolf68

Bingo!

McCaskey is a biz guy who knows jack poop about football ops. The closest abboration in Chicago I have seen over the years is Crane (Clown) Kenney on the North side.

So the first thing Tom and Co did after assessing their organization was to put Kenney and keep him there, on the biz side. Completely separating that from baseball ops, run now by Theo. The right way to do it. All Theo and Co has done in less than five years is completely rebuild the entire org and make the Cubs org one of baseball's best.

The Bears STILL do it WRONG. Pace is reporting to that effing bean counter Ted-I-got-you-your-$500M-taxpayer-funded-renovated-crap-hole-stadium-on-the-lake-front-Phillips. How in the name of Sid Luckman do you operate the NFL's charter franchise like that?!

I think had Mugs Halas not passed in 1979 things may have looked a lot different, but the team moved from the Halas' to the McMouseys. But we shouldn't complain...they won a lot and won a Super Bowl. Those of us who think there was more on the table are people who just can't be happy I suppose.

The stadium issue. I was away from city action by then, but remember the "McDome" idea?

Last thing about the Bears... Pace is a smart guy. I feel lot more comfortable with him making roster decisions then I ever did with Emery. And the current coaching staff (Fox/Fangio) prolly the best we have had in a while. My gut says that Bears D is gonna be top 10 this year.

I know its not for certain but i believe there's a chance that Lyanna was actually raped by the Mad King and not Rhaegar(who kidnapped her), which would then make Jon Daeny's brother and true heir to the Iron Throne. But that is farfetched to say the least.

And yeah i believe season 7 will be 7 episodes, and season 8 will be only 6.

I'm alone on this with most people i talk to, but i actually am rooting for the White Walkers to come out on top. Maybe Daeny becomes like her father, starts making a mess of things, and then the White Walkers take on the role of "good guys", and complete the cycle of Winter retaking control of the world as man/women become corrupt and fight among themselves. Who knows... lol

Please be 15 and stop skimping on episode time by giving me a 4 min recap every episode!! That combined with the intro and half the episodes are 7-10 mins in before they start. I'll find a way to complain about my favorite show

My complaint is how on earth do some of these people get from Essos to Westeros and then back to Essos in the blink of an eye? I'm assuming we won't have to wait long at all for Daeny's army to make it to their destination at the start of season 7...

One title, too much left on the table and a horrible hybrid of biz ops / football ops. How much longer do we have to cling to 1985? Great season! Great! One of the best.....ever! Now look at Wsh, SF, NYG, Dal and GB. All multiple titles, all since 1/26/86.

Whether or not you would have liked the Olympics here, they blew a poop ton of cash on a smaller seating capacity stadium, 66k down to 61.5k, lowest in the NFL. Lost the Landmark designation of the colonnades and cost the city of future Final Four's and Superbowls by not building an 80,000-seat retractable dome stadium.

I am probably in the minority here, but until the name McCaskey is no longer associated with the Decatur Staleys, there will be no Superbowl Championhips.

Good point. I like Pace too. But he should directly report (solid line, no dotted lines anywhere) to George.

Most of this good, but a dome? uhhh....i get your points though and most of them are quite good. I just can't do a dome...hell, I want the Bears to move back to Wrigley. LOL...not really.

That show is gold. I hope next season isn't the last one. I liked how they actually finished that flashback with Ned and his younger sister.

Think they did it just to mess with whomever it was who complained about a few posts with regards to buddy Ryan's passing.

Yeah, I know it's a hockey blog but there is literally nothing going on right now. July 1st will be the big day.

Finally...Hawks are not making any major trades or clearing cap space. They will likely sign one or two UFA's, and fill the other roster spots with Rockford guys. While the blog is a nice place to converse with fellow Hawk fans, literally 99.999999% of rumors thrown out never occur.
