Something else to note...the last several blogs have not turned up on the main Hawk page...if you click on the Indian Head at the top usually brings up the last 20 or so blogs by JJ. But the last one showing there is from June 18th. Last three or 4 blogs are in the wind...? |

Ive been thinking the same thing for weeks. Offseason would be a HOME RUN in my opinion if they traded Anisimov only under the pretense they signed Shipachyov. Him and Panarin already have amazing chemistry and now you throw Kane on that line.
not to mention the clearing of cap space from Anisimov to Shipachyov on top of whatever return you get for Anisimov - hawkeytalkman
Hmmm..don´t know about that. You trade proven center to an uncertain. That home run could easily turn out to be miss. Anisimov is bigger and younger, maybe not as talented offensively as Sipachov but AA does other things so good which helps Panarin and Kane do their magic. |

http://www.draftsite.com/nhl/player/artur-kayumov/25564/
Somehow the guy who was supposedly helping me with reassigning the slotting whe there were trades had the player profiles somehow going to empty files with their names on it.
Wanna look foolish?
Yesterday I mailed the links to Adam Kempenaar b/c in the past he used the ones he liked (the ones that were flattering) on the hawk site, more looks for Draftsite.com etc.
This morning I go to look over the site (Whose micromanaging owner usually is breathing down my neck checking re-checking and doing those sorts of slot changes, but he has a wedding all weekend, and assigns me his friend to "help.")
and I slide and onlt the picks up to 140 are showing.
That's not right I KNOW I changed displayed all yesterday...it turns out, "somehow" it got changed and when I look THE PLAYERS from 140 Rare no longer in there...and I just spend time fixing this)
Anyway go back to my outgoing mail and look and click on the links I sent the hawks Kempenaar and they are all blank too.
I am pretty sure he thinks i am 100% idiot as opposed to 25% now... - wiz1901
Thanks for re-posting these, makes me feel a bit better about the draft.

Hey Wiz - went back to look at your notes on the Hawks' picks this morning and the links on the mega list (the first 3 and a random one further down the list that I tried) aren't good. I got the old 404 error message. The link in a separate post for pick #50 the Russian does work. Thanks again for reposting. Sorry technical problems prevented seeing them real time. |

Wiz, I'd love for McNeill to be An answer this year. I get the feeling that in order for that to happen he almost needs to not just beat out other prospects, but roster players in order to "prove" to Q he is capable. In seeing him a few times last year I think he can be a really good bottom six, but it just seems like the deck is stacked against him. - Chunk
Well, McNeill is 23 and if he isn't in peak shape or up to the task, it would be on him.

The deal I heard is being discussed is TVR for Johnny Moore.
The one thing I will say is Moore has the speed and reasonable offensive ability that Q likes to go with some size.
There are positives with TVR, but I think the mobility difference is the reason to do the deal—setting aside relative cost. Moore has the tools that Q can work with. Remember, Oduya was a better defenseman after 3 years with Q, and also because Oduya was a good enough athlete that they could develop him further.
We'll see where it goes. I heard talks were very early stage and many more of those discussions take place than actual deals. |

Thanks for sharing what you can when you can - and in this case also making good on a promise to give more detail later. IMO the deal makes some sense and also has some PR value for both teams bringing home some local talent. Devil as always is in the details and whether you can make the deal work from both sides. |

Wiz - someone a page back posted a way to get the latest blog (the way I've been using) -- go to the top of the page, select "bloggers" then select JJ from the list. When you do that it should take you directly to his latest blog. |

No. I have also noticed something weird in that regard the last few days. UNfortiunately, I have zero control over the servers, coding, etc. I am sure they are aware of it and it will get addressed fairly soon.
This site gets a LOT of traffic around this time of year and sometimes the servers get overloaded |

I heard JvR was moving on too.
I thought the Panthers were kicking the tires for their first rounder...
Just because TvR is a New Jersey kid and John Moore is from suburban Winnetka, Il is ONLY reason this is a "trade."
...and maybe that Moore would NOT get scooped up as fast by Las Vegas Gamblers as fast as TvR would.
If i go to bloggers and click on that, i go to the first blog at the top, the past blogs.
It doesn't get me here.
Only examining the ENTIRE front page of Buzz with all the OTHER team bloggers new fare along with this new blog, can I get here...

I noted yesterday that JM is a LHD. Does that make the Hawks blue line a bit more difficult to work with since Seabrook is the only RHD? |

JVR and John Moore would both be going home. |

Friedman reporting on twitter shiplakov (think thats how you spell it) may come to the nhl anyway and leave the khl. Call him up stan! - ikeane
Interesting to see this might be back in play. You'd think he'd want to be with Panarin...does that allow you to move AA if it comes to fruition. I guess we'll find out.
And here's the spelling for Ikeane...not an easy one...Vadim Shipachyov |

JJ you hearing anything about Panarin's former center/teammate in the KHL? Friedman is saying that he might be coming to the NHL after all. That sort of pick up if (big one I know) Hawks pick him up it makes Al's arguments for trading AA or trading Kruger much more palatable.
EDIT: what DK said |

No. Because Hjalmarsson played most of his time w Hawks on the right side. First w Campbell, then w Oduya. Last year started on the right w Daley, but once Daley was dealt, he was moved all over the place. |

I'm wondering the same Marlowe...can that move happen quickly enough for them to move AA and get the top shelf left wing they want? Or perhaps at least give them some room to get a couple of better priced role players in a few weeks. |
