If the islanders signed stamoks his article title would be
"New York Islanders sign injury prone player to over paid contract" |

Lucic? - nyisles7
He is not a fit for the Country Club. Staple already mentioned Isles not big on Lucic. |

This was not a Brooks article. It was Brett Cyrgalis. |

Oh that's right I forgot Ses, the guy that can make up for KOs points and minutes and add the toughness we so lack, isn't a target. WTF |

I do not like Brooks, but Brett seems like a good guy. I have no sympathy for Boyle after he turned down the Isles. He took the Rangers money and did not get it done so he needs to deal with it. |

I would like Lucic or Ladd on a 4 year deal. Rather not give them more than that. |

The article had some valid points but I didn't understand the part about the D?? I think they are pretty much set there |

I agree they do not need much on D unless they need to trade D for a forward. |

Brett is a good guy.. Been on the show a couple of times. Always fair and I like that he is afraid to rattle the organizations' cage |

I'm thinking it could mean they want someone in a 7/8 role as opposed to a mayfield |

Well put Dan. I enjoy reading Brett's articles. Whatever Staple's job title is, I have little use for what he does. |

I'm a little worried about giving Cappy another Zid or Strait type dman., |

To be fair zidlicky had a solid resume just didn't work out. But he had played fine coming into last season |

He was probably looking at Strait and Zidlicky being UFAs and figured one spot needs to be replaced. He also thinks we only need one Top 3 forward.
Think we all agree, we need 2 wingers for Johnny. Shows how much he really knows about the team.
Other than that the article was fine. |

Zid did a solid job when not in the lineup every day. Cappy just has trouble with the concept of 7th dman. |

Seemed like he didnt have the stamina or durability to play frequently, at 100%. Looked good in small doses but other times he seemed to be a step behind. |

I would like one proven winger for Johnny and another winger for the 2nd line. I think if the #1 wing is good enough, you can put Frans on the top line as well for D. |

This is my point and Cappy not getting the 7th dman concept. |

He was an absolute abortion the second half of the season on the Devils before he went to FA. Clear as day he was done before we signed him. |
