Me too, was at my buddy's cabin, got drunk for two days.

Did a round of golf today, my arms are sore from swinging..

You happy with the draft?

- pete26

Of course, but I'll let the guys in here give me the truth on Monday to bring everything back to level

poopty man... I somehow caught a ridiculous cold. Plus, having to listen to the Sportsnet guys on draft night with a sinus headache was terrible.

At least I am getting my sleep.

Waste of a long weekend... guess there is next week.

Hope things are better on your end, Pete.

That's poopty man, but I wouldn't watch the draft even if someone held a gun to my head..

I usually watch the whole thing (can do work while watching), but after the Habs traded their 2 second round picks I was like... screw this poop. After seeing the parts I saw, I have got to say, I really really am sick of Rogers and their hockey coverage.

I just don't wanna watch that poop anymore.

I could not even be bothered to tune in today, and I don't even know what they did today.

So was that trade worth it?

Thought this draft was pretty deep?

Yeah I was gonna watch it before they traded the 2 nd rounders also. Seemed pointless afterwards.

I liked the Eller trade more for the cap space, but I think they will just give up more cap space to Shaw.

I would rather have the 4 second rounders and the cap.

Gotta have someone on that right wing, who's the second line guy right now? Paul Byron?

Still hope MB goes after a UFA. If he needs capspace, DD and Emelin can be moved.

I've read this Shaw fella has some grit.

I like that.

Surprised that the caps took Eller, when he was available at the tdl.

Byron provides more offence than Shaw. Neither one should even be considered an option though

Byron: 11 goals, 850minutes
Shaw: 14 goals, 1140minutes

And I don't need to point out the obvious talent disparity in teammates

Look I don't dislike Shaw, and yes he will help the team in a few ways. But if they don't address the need for offence it's not going to make a difference in the bigger picture.
