it absolutely is... last 2 years of his deal from July 1st to September 1st his NTC is lifted
- obie

Meh...maybe you're right. Not according to general fanager but it could be wrong I suppose.
That being said, his salary and play is enough of a no-trade clause.

I highly doubt it. Also, the hard hitter reputation is...well, whatever.
- Habsody

Eller was moved for two second rounders. Emelin's contract isn't much worse and he's not alot worse.

You realise the Eller trade secured DD a spot on the roster in the fall, right?

I'll let you out of the bet for $25.00

You've got 5 minutes..

- pete26

DD already had a spot in my opinion. At least we won't see Eller as a top 6 winger this year.

The good thing with Shaw will be seeing a guy not named Gallagher in front of the net. I think having options on 2 lines like that is a good thing

Signing a guy like that to a 6 year contract is another thing, but I don't know him that much...but he comes with a lot of playoffs experience.

It won't be a good contract, but I don't think it'll be bad either. It'll just be... alright.

Better than giving 4 years to Brandon Prust.

I'm sure they can move him considering the market. Not much on the UFA market and all the defensemen ask for crazy money. If a team think he can be a number 4 on their team, they could get him.

As long as they think Beaulieu is ready to play in this spot.

Beaulieu is already ahead of Emelin if you ask me, its more if they think Pateryn can take those minutes

Matteau better have a good year or else they will trade him or put him on waiver.

Danault will center the 4th line...for the rest of his NHL career

They need somebody to play as a C in that third line spot. I don't care if it's DD, but yeah, could be Delarose or Danault.

AHL - 60%
box - 30%
4th line - 9%
3rd line - 0.5% (Because its MT)
2nd line - 0.5% (Seriously, MT...)

Barring major injuries down the middle.

I'm surprised no one considers Kyle Okposo like a good option for the Habs....doesn't he play Right wing? Wouldn't he be a great fit?
