Well no point holding onto him just for the sake of it because his value could go down, or worse just being in the lineup puts him at risk of some unique "Oiler" way of getting injured. Also GM'S don't get McDavid or what he creates with him in any deal for yak. I'm not sure how much him playing with McDavid mkles his value go up. His past is not hidden.
