Ya I'd do it. I mean best case scenario nurse is as good as trouba in two years? The value is solid for us but I'd much rather trade a forward for a D than a defensman. I think a nuge + yak/Reinhardt would be my package of choice

I'd do both. Nurse for Trouba gives us our shutdown guy on the right side and Nuge+ for Dumba++ gives us the offensive talent. Really shores us up to the point where we could sign a guy like Redmond or Gryba (or both) and have a solid team.

Yup I have no issue with that at all. I would expect him to be no more than a #4 Dman next year. Unfortunately that still leaves a massive hole on the top pair

Just right handed


I think nurses ability to carry the play and rush the puck is abit higher, while troubas defensive chops are significantly superior to nurses, (going forward I mean )

I've lived in Edmonton for 8 years until recently and had season tickets while there. The fans are like no other. Being a Canucks fan, I felt safe wearing my jersey to the games. There would be a little humorous banter but it was all in fun. Never did I feel a threat. Also, fans showed up and cheered no matter what though they've been losing for so many years. Good on the fans in Edmonton. I wish I could cheer for a team where the majority of the fans were the same.
That being said, Edmonton NEEDS a #1 dman, at least until Nurse is ready. I know the value of their players and I'd take Nuge over any forward currently on my roster. But the rest of the gms know their predicament. So they will eventually have to overpay for one. It's sad and a lot of fans will not be happy at first. But you've got to pay the price to win and this team will be cup contenders if they get that piece that puts them over the top. So, we shall wait and see. The future for Canada's cup hopes lie between the Oilers and the Jets (even before Laine tbh)
