Matthews was a decent pick

I'm getting (frank)ing stoked. Matthews, Nylander, Marner...they will be fun to watch next season and going forward have the potential to shred the gnar. Rielly a year older, Kadri, JVR...a goalie that stops pucks. Not making any predictions about standings but if nothing else, I'll be watching intently this season. That's big change. Rogers is gonna make their money back now.

The Russian bobylov first year really low, maybe he had bad transition to NA? He stepped up and improved, so maybe he's got more room to develop.

Trend setting pick. From now on teams will only draft the best player available with the 1st overall pick. Edmonton could've used that strat in the RNH and Yak drafts.

Hunter alluded to it being already a trend. I don't know how many other teams did it. Yeah who knows how any of these picks will work out. If a couple of the big guys work out, that helps. I can see the logic behind it.

That sounds familiar. It makes sense to me, if a guys a year older and is doing really well, why not take a shot. All these picks other than Matthews are a slot machine anyway.
