So this Rychel guy, I remember him being drafted fairly high. He just a gamble?

The answer might be a lot easier for AW if someone would look up how many players Hunter has drafted to the OHL that have gone on to make it to the NHL.

Just sayin'.

(I don't care enough to do the leg work)

From what I understand, London's buckets of cash give them a huge advantage.

Not much of a gamble for the leafs..He wanted out of CBJ so who knows...Leafs are set up pretty nice in the development now so kid might get it going..

No it's not really gamble..Leafs gave up a player they would likely have lost in waivers or traded in the mid summer player unloading dump like they did last year..

Yes.

There's a lot of behind the scenes devious poop that goes on.

Like Max Domi.

Several teams reaching out to pending UFA Matt Martin. Rangers, Maple Leafs among teams with a level of interest.

I haven't had time to fully digest the draft yet.
A lot of Wtf picks at first glance.. And a very different strategy from last year draft also it looks like.

So send away a player they'd lose, take on a guy who might be a player. No matter how you look at that, it's a gamble. Though makes sense coming from a guy who thinks Mark Hunter is a good scout

I will give Hunter credit on this one.

I would have just gotten rid of Harrington.

No trade.

Where is all this coming from? How many times have we heard the guys in the know go on about Hunter being THE guy for finding talent. DId that just start because he had money in London to buy off the other insiders?

I don't give him credit for Marner. After that, it's a giant question mark.

Take a look at this:

http://www.hockeydb.com/i...aft/teams/dr00008490.html

2006 was the last draft that wasn't a franking embarrassment.

No wonder this team has sucked for a decade.

Yeah, ShannaLouCock seem to love him, that's carries weight. A bunch of solid players have come through London. Maybe none of this poop will work out but I don't know what else people want in terms of rep. I couldn't even name another team's head scout anyway, I just drink my Kool Aid and enjoy it.

Meanwhile, the Russian major junior league has quietly canned the U18 national team, the very one which was banned en masse for meldonium
