I'm fearful of Brodin if only because he seems to have been dropping since his rookie year. - MaximumBone
Yep.
And his game is so quiet, it's tough to tell subtleties of you don't see him a ton
He's the safer option over dumba though
But again, another fuking leftie |

Agreed
Potential wise - dumba, klefbom and nurse is actually fantastic
But we all know the thing about potential ...
Even if I think nurse had the highest ceiling, klefboms the only guy that's showed he can actually play top pairing mins.
Dumba could develop Furthur offensively, but I'm not sure he'll ever be a stellar option defensively. Prob play him 2nd pair with sekera - Ihateallofu
Damn right it is at their top potential plus I think Davidson will keep getting better which only helps our cause...now if only they can remain healthy enough so they can develop to their top potential.....yes im looking at you Klef

Lol still can't believe we got handed Puljujarvi - OilerFan16
I was really hoping we could get one of the Finns to play with McDavid before the draft lotto....thank you Columbus |

What I like most about the draft is how all the important picks were taking players who are younger for their draft years (even Berglund despite him being passed over last year). Benson in March, Cairns in the April, Puljujarvi and Berglund in May, Rasanen and Niemelainen in June, and McPhee in July. In some cases, that's close to a year less development over some of the early birthdays.
The majority have a good deal of offense to their games, too. |

I read an article the other day talking positively about klefbom skating for a few days and feeling good for the last couple days
Could mean nothing, and Even if it was just the first day he felt uncomfortable, Jesus Christ.
Still in pain at times ??! Effin hell
Maybe im just reading too much into it |

I think they go the 8 man 1 goalie route
Nurse, Connor, pulu exempt
Klefbom, sekera, ?, ?
Hall, ebs, Leon, nuge
Talbot
Still got 2 spots available even considering we DONT trade one of those guys
Or if We trade one of nuge/ebs for a defender and sign another, we can protect both acquisitions and Davidson/pouliot if we want
But yeah/ just one might be the focus - Ihateallofu
I see Nuge being sent out and either getting a guy of Haula's level back or acquiring a guy like Bozak whose contract expires when McDavid will need a raise. I'd be fine with Eberle being moved, as well.
Nuge for Dumba and Haula (maybe more involved from either side)
Eberle for Severson+ (no idea what it'd be)
Then protect Hall, Leon, Pouliot, Dumba, Severson, Klefbom, Sekera, and one of Haula or Davidson (depending on this coming year). Leave Yak exposed in hopes that he attracts the attention of Vegas' expansion. |

I think they are working on making a skate that helps with this issue so perhaps they are tinkering with it as they go till they find a right level of comfort for him....that being said we really need him to play a full season so hopefully this all gets fixed within a few months

It worries me that this could become a chronic issue. I'm not a medical expert, but it's starting to get pretty risky to bank on him. It's just tough to move on from considering he's our best Dman by a wide margin and one of our few home-grown talents on the backend. |

This coming season will be a big one for him and us.....if this does become a long term thing with no end in sight then its really not going to help that we now have him locked in for the next 7 years.....sure the cap hit is like 4.1 mil or something like that but still

Chiarelli is so good at playing the vague game, not sure how much is going on
Sounded like he's really only been close to 1 deal happening. (Not to say that couldn't change in second of course)
Ima assume nuge goes for a defender, yak goes and they keep eberle.
nuge and something small- dumba and granlund
Yaks for prospect
Sign Free agent defender
Hall, Leon, ebs
Klefbom, sekera, trade defender, free agent defender, Davidson
I love pouliot, but exposing him is a risk I'm willing to take. (Assuming Davidson continues to play well) |

Well hotshot out of those three they should probably trade Yak for anything. You really are a gifted hockey mind - NEONDOUBLEDION
alright, now you have a third or second rounder, who are you gonna trade for a RHD? |
