I didn't know th at Dubois just started playing C this year.....half way through the season. Columbus getting a hard on that he played at C for a couple month and jump over talent? I dunno thats just crazy to me.

The D corps may not be amazing but if Klefbom, Dumba, and Nurse can develop to be close to their potential, that's a solid top-3. I think Dumba has a lot of still untapped offense.

As much as I get pursuing the best, we need to take the first step of actually having a D corps capable of making the playoffs.

I agree with that. But we've got go be careful we don't end up with a bunch of guys with NMCs and long term contract just because that's what it took. We'd be hamstrung to make further moves. If we go after Demers it can't be a long term NMC deal like sekera.

Big fan of Niemelainen, Berglund, and Rasanen, too Content with both Benson and Cairns. Would've preferred someone other than McPhee, but he was stuck behind some high end guys at NTDP. The goalie they chose has awful numbers but the consensus among every regular OHL scout/analyst is that he's a great value pick with the tools he has. Some likening the situation to Matt Murray. That last pick is evident garbage (6'6 20yr old Dman with no offense).

Potential wise - dumba, klefbom and nurse is actually fantastic

But we all know the thing about potential ...

Even if I think nurse had the highest ceiling, klefboms the only guy that's showed he can actually play top pairing mins.
Dumba could develop Furthur offensively, but I'm not sure he'll ever be a stellar option defensively. Prob play him 2nd pair with sekera
