Elliott's stats are pretty great, never been the true number one but even a .913 save percentage will make the flames so much better have a save percentage of .891 as a team is just gross. Plus we get tkachuk at 6 instead of giving it away for bishop... Very happy with the flames right now

I wonder if he stays on the roster for long? Maybe 2 2nds + Elliot for Fleury?

Flames upgraded their goaltending for about 1/4 of what Hiller/Ramo were making and it only cost them a 2nd

Anyone willing to resign Hudler for cheap, say 3.5m for 2-3 yrs, to play 2nd line RW and eventually slide down to the 3rd? Or, how do they fix the hole, overpay for Okposo bc he fills a need better?

It's good to finally have a goalie under contract. A cheap cap hit at that. But I really hate the trading of the 35Th overall. If you don't draft Hunter Smiths, there's some really good players at that range.

I'm happy we didn't eat an ugly Bob type contract, but I'm thinking they should have waited until after the draft.
