I really didn't think it was a big deal. Yesterday I said he spoke in a grey area. Today after I read the rules and listened to him again. It is cut and dry tampering.
Deflate gate like. Rules are rules no matter how you look at it.

So the NHL will have to do something for it. I think it'll shake out like this

It's pretty much the same rule as getting a pick for a coach that you fired, stupid rules by the "old boys club". Grow up. If tampa bay didn't want anybody to want Stamkos then quit being lil female dogs and sign the guy. These guys talk trades all damn year long calling each other to see if guys are available. All of a sudden at the draft it's not allowed to say you called about a player.

Well I think it's a very bad thing when you've had a quarter of the teams in the league complain to the league about you. Awfully hard to do business. And that's the ones that are known to have made a stink... Is there others that are complaining to the league quietly?

Really the dumbest part of all of this is the media is allowed to speculate on who is talking to who about which player. Where would they hear about this stuff from if nothing is never allowed to be said to anyone about conversations between GM's. Literally any trade rumours ever would be considered tampering then because someone would off had to say something within the organization.
