Rusky's are more risky

Not if they have developed in the CHL. They get westernized pretty quickly. Most of the time their parents have already moved over to Canada.

My good friend in high school came over from Russian at 16. He westernized very quickly. He and is family love it here and would never go back. Even then they never thought about going back.

I am more apt to be concerned about their history of walking out. You do not see Slovakians and Sweds threaten to quit if their morning porridge does not have cinnamon.

I woudl stay away from Russians for the time being. Even the best of all time, Bure, walked.

runner up was Travis Dermott, third was Rollie McKeown.

I feel like this was a pretty big blunder.

WTF?

I understand the need for trolls to be trolls but there is nothing to troll about today. Come back in a few hours.

So immensely happy with the pick.

Our d core now in 2 years will be Hutton Juolevi Tanev Gudbranson and Tryamkin and you gotta like that.

Sign Luc and Ericsson and we look real good Benning is doing a great job not getting flashy players but guys who are very tough to play against and with juolevi now the puck moves up the ice very very fast. Sp happy

I know it should seem like a non issue but I wonder if this deal of Benning talking about other players has black balled him a little bit. Bergevin is p$$ed. Yzerman is tight lipped. It looked to like JB was having a bad day yesterday. He didn't approach anyone and no one approached him. I'm thinking he gets a hefty fine. He didn't look like himself. Sometimes I wonder if he is an idiot or a genius. Was this all a play with him to prevent teams from moving picks so he could get Juolevi. who know but he sure looks like a guy who regrets flapping his mouth off.

Maybe, but like I said, I think he tried to manipulate the fans a bit using the media. I think he knew beforehand that Columbus was going to take Dubois 3OA and knew that the fans were going to go apepoop if he didn't pick Tkachuk or Puljaarvi (if he was still available) and still picked Juolevi, so he name dropped a few players just to distract people. Law of unintended consequences though, you may be right, he might have ended up pissing off several GMs doing that.

More and more it's obvious he's a bumbling idiot, but, the man knows how to draft! He just needs to continue to draft well and build a future for the club.

If he had someone to come in as assistant GM with some media experience and a little coaching things would be fine. He is far from an idiot. I would say his need to be truthful is a good character flaw and a bad one.(Nice guy syndrome) Anybody who can draft is okay by me but he needs to start accumulating draft picks over the next few years. the future already looks bright.

Really Really wish Van had a second round pick this year and who the hell is that kid? final ranking was 108. I've lost faith in Benning.

Edit Benning said yesterday he wish he had draft picks like some other teams. Well stop giving them away and you will have some. Stop making trades and you will have some draft picks.
