I don't think the Canucks ever thought about taking Tkachuk. They just didn't seem sold on him. We take the best ranked D man and highest in our history and people freak out, but we knew this would happen lol.. It's a great pick for this organization. We finally have a D man who has the potential to be a #1 puck mover.. Bennings never gonna be a fan fav but he's one of those GM that we could easily look back and realize half our team were his picks. I'm excited to see what this kid does

What you guys think about a trade a few picks from now if Brown/Jost is still available?

We don't really have anything to trade....

Don't hate the culture, hate the team. Got a buddy who is die hard mtl fan and thinks Price and Subban are the greatest players to ever put on skates.

I am not pissed but I would have taken Juolevi and Sergachev at our pick over Tkachuk. We needed Defence. I was hoping for Dubois. I called the top 3 a few blogs ago.

Not surprised with the Jost pick.

Not the sexiest pick, but I like it. He reminds me a bit of Nicklas Listrom. He's not going to own guys physically, but he's a great skater, always in the right position, and very smart. At 6'3" he should be able to handle the NHL physicality when he fills out a bit more. Our D is looking pretty good and young! Tryamkin, Gubber, Tanev, Hutton and now Juolevi.

Wow......the female doging and complaining is worse than I expected. If Dubois wasn't there, I was ok with anyone not named Logan Brown.

I think it's a smart pick. You build from the net out.

D looks good in the future...
