Gudbranson will get more like 5x5 IMO. He is a better player but he also has the first round pick, Canadian pedigree thing going for him.

Interesting because Gudas outscores, outhits, has better +/- and better fancy stats.

Vanek's been continuing to decline the last few years so I think it would be a huge mistake to try and sign him. He's obviously going to want some fairly big coin and probably term. The Canucks don't need a Vrbata 2.0

That's what i'm saying. Stats wise Gudas was better. Gudbranson would have to be one of the best shut down defenders in the game if he was to get over 5 million a season. 7 years at 3.5 i'd be happy.
