if you get one, do the research on the parents
I made the mistake of buying one on impulse, he was a great dog but smaller than what I wanted
the mom for caesar is 100 lbs and tall
the dad was 110 lbs and short and stocky
this guy will top out around 120 and is already protective and herding at 7 months old
F#cker learned how to open doors at 6 months and made me change all the door knobs (nosed the lever)
My guess is I will make 8 grand out of him from stud service, more than enough to spoil him rotten |

I had a dog that was so protective of his rawhides that I was once walking about 4 or 5 feet from him past him, not at him, and he leapt up and bit me on the ass. Left a scar too, the wiener. Needless to say, no more rawhides after that. I miss the dummy though. |

That's one thing I like about cats, they know what the knob is for, they paw at it, but they can't open it. Although my one cat knows how to open the front screen door, it's just one of those push button/lever ones, and we have a table next to the door, so if she stands on the table and puts her paws on the lever she can pop the door right open. My friend had a dog that could open round knobs, he just put his mouth on it and twisted his head and it opened right up.

So, did 39 leave yesterday after the Chicken incident? I hope he comes back, I don't doubt his insider information
89, you hearing anything on Fowler? Sounded like we were so close yesterday, and things died down really quickly.
Also, do you think we'll be getting leaks as to who is talking to who, even though players aren't allowed to sign until July 1st? |

The draft was cool. I would say one of the best parts was roll call. The boos for Toronto were so loud that you couldn't hear who they were sending up. The only boos that were louder were for Montreal & Boston. I think that was the only time I can remember Toronto and Buffalo fans working together. |

Loud loud crowd - everyone says the crowd was the loudest draft by far. The contingency of maple laugh fans was alot smaller than I thought it would be. A few faint go leafs go Cheers but that's about it. Jersey of all teams but I'd say 80-85% sabres fans. Great job Buffalo!! |

yea +/- isn't a very reliable stat... but you don't score at a 60% higher pace just because of team quality... in fact a lot of talented players thrive on poor teams, because they get more opportunity and ice time.
Think about this in NHL terms, if a guy got 130 points vs a guy who got 82... you wouldn't be saying it's just because he's on a better team - Feeling Glucky?
Actually if you were on the 2nd worst team in the NHL for 82pts and 130 on the second best...I may not wonder who the better player is but I would understand it is much closer than the points demonstrate. If I counted right only 6 out of the top 30 point getters last year were on non playoff teams. In 2014 only 4 out of 30. When looking at plus minus, the point is that much more obvious...hardly any non playoff teams represented in this category at all. The point is, good teams make players better, not bad teams. IMO that if the roles were reversed there would be a significant swing in points and plus minus.

Spitballing here but you'd have to think Zemgus is on his way out via trade...prolly moving up with some of those extra 3rd's |

I heard 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 are being discussed, 2 or 3 of our players for 1
I also heard he is not opposed to burning a few draft picks to move up if a player or 2 they really like is sliding down to them |

We can't make all the picks. Not enough contracts. Something has to give. Either guys moving out or picks. |

I know. The way some talk about Murray, he belongs in a movie.
Sabres were smart, didn't move 8 for Fowler, didn't reach for Chychrun. Took a skilled player |

A few ideas for the next few rounds if no trades. This would be my choices.
2nd- Lucas Johansen- D Kelowna
3rd- Jacob Moverare- D HV71 (SHL)
3rd-Maxime Fortier- RW Halifax
3rd- Dylan Wells G Peterborough
There stands a good chance that Johnasen will be gone before we pick in the 2nd and the same could be for Moverare in the 3rd. |

thanks Homie. I can still see the Fowler trade happening today. Gotta think Murray doesn't want to walk away this weekend without a LD via trade.
