The only top 4 in there is Rielly. Zaits is a big question mark and Gards is a top 4 on the Leafs simply because they don't have anyone else to fill that role (besides Rielly).

Leafs defense might only be better than Edmonton's, and that's it.

Why wouldn't they now? It's the same for any market.

Look at how many dumb commercials Rex Ryan does for Northtown Auto, Tops and others.

I had stuff thrown at me and stuff like that but no one tried doing anything. People started shaking my hand on the way out and telling me good game like I was one of the players on the ice. I was 17 at the time and I was one of probably 30 people including the players who had the jersey so I guess they had decent odds

For what it's worth I've always found Canadien fans in the arena are far more difficult to deal with than Maple Leaf fans

My point is that Stamkos is already a very popular name in Canadian hockey, playing for Toronto isn't going to put him on some map that he never previously existed on.

He will get the same endorsements from Gatorade, equipment companies etc. Which are the highest paying ones. And if he came to Buffalo those wouldn't magically vanish either
