No poop

Tranny Myers is a shovelface

Honestly? Keep on topic, guys. Tracey Myers and the way she looks to you is completely irrelevant to any logical discussion about this team.

She is a terrible reporter. Her looks don't need to be brought up. Man, I look like a dumpster fire.

Bowman said #Blackhawks have enough $ now. "Whether we make moves to make moves remains to be seen, but we don’t have a salary cap problem."

- mrpaulish

How could that be true?

$7MM to sign 6/7 players - enuf for some Rockford call-ups and some past-their-sell-by-date cents, not enough to solve problems or replace departed players.

Al they've done so far this summer is lose enough cap space to cover the overages and retention hits, and get a couple of pucks for a very useful player.

Maybe - hopefully, but only maybe - set the stage for some moves later this summer.

And they've made no progress in creating cap space for Panetin in 2017-18.

Yep!!! I fear Bowman will twiddle his thumbs all summer then make a 11th hour deal like the last two years and gets fleeced. I hope he doesn't actually believe the bullpoop he's saying. That's one thing I liked about that interview with Yzerman, he was straight up.

What if Kempny is the equivalent of Panarin last season? There are uncertainties, but they are not automatically certainties. Are they the most comfortable options? No. Such is the salary cap world. All contenders are going through this
- Hawks_49

I think Hawks are hoping that. Even with all this Campbell chatter, I don't think Hawks make a move for a D. I say they head into the season with Keith-Seabs-Kempny-Hammer-TVR w/ Svedberg, Gustafsson, Rundblad, Forsling, Pokka & Co. vying for the last spot. They will grab a D (or not) at the deadline in Feb 2017.

Like JJs been lamenting for months, a top-6 LW is the bigger need. Even if they grab a couple to fight for it like the Tlustys/Fleichmanns/Eaves/McGinns of the world.

I personally would rather have more options up front, especially if they keep Crawford, who can keep the Hawks in games (again!) next year.

Hawks now have $6.3m for their last 5 roster spots.
Something like:
$900k Rockford guy (Schmaltz)
$900k Rockford guy
$1.5m Campbell
$1.5m Weise (or other Shaw replacement veteran grit player)
$1.5m vet.

Or 3 Rockford guys, a $2m slot and a $1.5m slot.

We need to solve the 1LW issue. If we go into this year with L2 doing all the scoring we are in for another disappointment. I believe Toews has expressed his displeasure to Bowman about the merry go round 1LW of last year. Toews is an exceptional player, but he is no Kane when it come to puck procession so he needs a SADD on his left wing as HOSS BOSS is getting a little long in the tooth!!

Hawks no longer have a salary cap problem.

Instead now they have a worst forward depth in the league problem.

Things are looking bad. And you know it's really bad when even I can't find a positive way to twist things...

I am with you on this one Jack. Can't believe Bowman is going to site back and take it deep again this year. You would think at some point he would learn a lesson. The major issue is his own doing and that is handing out handsome contracts and NMC. I think Crow should him today what happens when you get your hand caught in the cookie jar!!

A lot of these mock lineups for 16/17 are great ,but no one has recently suggested if they have enough $$$ to resign the Breadman d

If there is anything to like about losing Shawzie, it is there are more than nine interesting prospects available to the Blackhawks who will be picking ninth overall tomorrow.

Forwards LW Carl Grundstrom, C Pascal Faberge, C Cliff Pu, LW Cam Morrison, LW Boris Katchok, RW Rasmus Asplund RW Wade Allison, C Will Bitten C RW Nathan Bastian speedy Brandon Gignac, and midgets Alex DeBrincat & Vitali Abramov,
Defenders Markus Niemelainen, Libor Hajek, Kale Clague, Ryan Lindgren, Sam Girard, Filip Hronek, and Josh Mahura
a couple goalies in Filip Gustavsson and Carter Hart
That’s a list of 21 players and the first two Montreal picks common the first 20 slots…

and insofar as "Bowman's draft errors" I think the scouting staff is who falls on the sword.
Pretty easy to find the same failure ratio all around the selection process.

Crow obviously does not waive for Calgary or Edm, but does he waive for Buffalo, as soon as Lehner goes down?

Hawks would have to be in great health and great form during the regular season to make the playoffs. With a gaping hole in the top 6 (LW), I don't see a return to form in the cycle and possession game

As long as we are spitballing crazy ideas after dark, here's one to chew on....

Would you deal Crawford for Sharp? You would have negligible cap savings but you would presumably address your hole at LW. Then you could leave Sharp unprotected next summer. Crawford would be a huge upgrade for the Stars.

Completely crazy?
