You need to come here more often bc I have been an advocate of moving big cap hits to address the holes at 4D and 1LW. I think the Hawks are a top 8 team in the West next year, as currently constructed. People are forgetting this team had 103 points, 5th most in the NHL last year. Shaw is an important player that they lost, but not nearly enough to drop out of the playoffs. The extra rest for the core players alone this summer I think will help a lot.

I think they are easily a playoff team especially if they sign Campbell. Played all 82 games, led team in ice time and plus minus, on a good defensive team. He still has something to offer and I think with him kempney tvr and the obvious 3 it could be a very very good d core IMO.
