If a player like Klein is dealt, someone has to be brought back who is under contract for 2017-2018 because you have to expose someone or be subject to a penalty (language suggests it's another player).

Said another way. This is why Raanta got a TWO year deal. He's a good backup and he will meet the minimum requirement for the draft.

* All Clubs must meet the following minimum requirements regarding players exposed for selection in the Expansion Draft:

i) One defenseman who is a) under contract in 2017-18 and b) played in 40 or more NHL games the prior season OR played in 70 or more NHL games in the prior two seasons.

ii) Two forwards who are a) under contract in 2017-18 and b) played in 40 or more NHL games the prior season OR played in 70 or more NHL games in the prior two seasons.

No rumors at all today...what a joke of a day. Draft is a bust. Trades are bust.

Who would have more trade value in your opinions. Subban or McD. I would say Subban would be more desirable but McD cap hit is much more friendly. Basically which of the 2 would bring a better package.
