I'm good with 3 years at 2.5. Nothing beyond 2.5 though. |

Agreed but he will likely get offers of 3 mill per, maybe a little more. |

Hopefully Boomers daughter can convince him otherwise.
If Stamkos says he will come to the Rangers for 7 years 10 million do you sign him?
I say yes, trade Stepan packaged with Girardi if possible. Trade Nash. That's almost 20 million off the books. |

I joked a month or so back about Esiason having 1 on 1 w him. "Look Matty, you love it here, you love my daughter. The Rangers could use your grit. Your gonna get a hefty raise, but maybe take a little less & stay close to home & be on the big club here in NY.". |

Realistic roster IMO if Stamkos is signed.
Kreider Stamkos Miller
Zucc Brass Eberle (aquired with pieces including from Nash trade)
Buchnevich Hayes Fast
Martin Helm Stalberg
McD Dumba
Skeji Klein
Staal McIlrath/Holden/Girardi (Hopefully we can get rid of Girardi contract)
Obv I want Draisitl as my 2C but I don't think Gorton is smart enough to go after him. |

trade for Holden ..no mention pretty much...big slary dump 4th rounder for a guy who plays reg minutes & solid not flashy can grow into a better player with better D around him...
prelude of events.... one can only hope that by fri the 1st we have a new core
and a very bright future .... Its a must , we'll be dead before the season starts
4 starters .....
Stamkos
Martin *****could get a deal w/ Boomer 's kid as the sealer
follow the matirx of chicago and u cant go wrong ...it pays off ..bigtime
if you list the palyers lost & found by chi since its run 2010
its an all star team of talent both ways .....
not sure how big draft picks were ... we'll see is the standard

Or the Oilers are smart enough to know that they have him for 5 more years on relatively cheap contracts. |

I will get my evaluation up later today, actually getting a chance to spend some time with my wife at the beach during the day. I like the draft. Love the Day pick same with Ronning. Corey Promnan get it a B, which I agree with based on upside on who they took based on where they picked. Full analysis later. |

I had to leave for work after round 4. Love the Ronning pick. What he lacks in height he makes up for with speed, a little grit and decent scoring ability. Day might have been the BPA at 81 so that fine. The rest of the draft is just so blah. |

Sean Day has lost weight since the end of the season..if he gets in better shape and plays with more consistent effort piles of upside.
more fatties
edit: and this, i guess its a homerun/strikeout kind of pick?

In a polling of NHL scouts, Day was considered the best skater in the draft. I don't think the best skater has ever been taken so low. |

Drew Doughty had weight issues during his time in Geulph. But Doughty always made up for with his tremendous skill set. I don't think Day can do that so he has to keep himself in good shape. |

His body fat percentage dropped from around 19% to around 12% in under two years according to a lot of scouts. He's been disappointing, but that's a great upside pick for a third rounder. |

I can't believe how split you guys are on Mcleod. At the very worst I think he's Mike Richards wit the Kings. I think he's going to be closer to Jordan Staal. Big center capable of putting up 50-60 points per year. |

My issue with McLeod is he doesn't add to what we need. The Devils prospect pool is loaded with safe middle six two way forwards. Outside of Zacha there is no first line potential, and LHD is completely vacant in our system.
Brown might not be the safest pick, but a guy with the physical tools he has who has consistently improved throughout the year would have been my pick, or maybe the Devils finally take a big risk at the draft and actually move up and grab a Keller. |
