A round in which they had an extra pick to haggle with.
This is a great trade only to be made better based on the implication that there is another move coming.
They now have four left handed defensemen on the roster, two of those are their captain and their second best prospect. The other just got acquired and then there is Staal.

Just don't play him in your top 4 on the regular. 3rd Pairing and hes fine. Top 4 you will want to kill him |

Nick Holden better be sending Barrie a gift basket, if it wasn't for him dragging him along in the 2nd pairing, they guy would have been AHL bound against.
He got a little pay cheque for latching onto that little marmot haha.
But if you can pair him with a good skating RHD on the 3rd pairing he will be fine |
