Tyler Johnson is not god dude.
Kucherov is very good but I beg to differ about the Rangers offense not being good enough.
If they essentially swap Stepan for Stamkos, without losing anyone else up front, the team will be extremely strong offensively. - MidnightMarauder
Not sure if you meant to actually say god or good haha. He did have a bad season, but I think he has a good chance at being a 30 goal scorer in his prime.
Just to clarify what my point is, I don't think this team has talented shoot first scorers. I'm not saying the offense is bad, just that the players we have dont shoot the puck or when they do, it's not with accuracy. There's not enough finish.
I'll also say sign me up for a Stepan for Stamkos trade, but do you really have the confidence in this front the office to pull that off? Whether it be trading Stepan to another team and then going after Stamkos in FA or the trade for his rights. They have a tendency to over value offensive talent which has lead to only having Gaborik or only having Nash to be THE scorer. Look around the league, the elite teams either have multiple scorers or if they only have one are big and fast and essentially beat you down to create chances. The Rangers are in the middle right now. Competitive but don't have that element to take them over the top.

We had Gaborik, Nash and Richards on the team at the same time at one point. |

For half of a half season.
Richards was never worth the contract. I like the player, not the contract. Plus he was not going to be a 30 goal scorer. If you thought he was going to be that was more hope then honest evaluation. Which is my point about over valuing offensive players. |

Sorry to say, no one wants Girardi or Staal. I'm sure a few have kicked the tires on Nash but probably want the Rags to eat some of his salary, or take a bad contract back. Not gonna happen. So, they're stuck with the mess Slats has created. Gorton might be good, but he's not Houdini. |

I think everything is going to be alright. Too early to judge the off-season, IMO.

Sadly, Gorton still has the Spector of the cigar looking over his shoulder. I'm not sure he doesn't have to run "it" by him. Not a great situation for a guy trying to prove himself . |

For the last few years wasn't Gorton in charge of all contract negotiations before he became GM? I can't sit here and say its all Sather. He did get us to the cup final. It is a combination of the front office |

Nothing happens in the Rangers front office, unless Sather approves it. That extends all the way down to who works in the "room". You don't get to wash jock straps and towels, unless Slats says so. |

Actually is a solid trade. Dude plays over 20 mins a game for a 4th rounder. Not sure of the contract though |
