Does it matter either way? They don't have the offensive talent to supplement. They don't have a Tyler Johnson or kucherov or palat to chip in real offense. All of the pass first guys won't change now in their careers. The players that have bricks for hands won't change. Hayes and Miller are the only 2 that I see improving. Sure Buchnevich COULD be something. But let's be honest, Stamkos coming here means that Nash is most likely gone. So Stamkos will be the goal leader here then only score a few goals in the playoffs and it'll be the same cycle we have seen. Can't compete when there aren't any other threats.

Guys I'm sorry I know you will either blow me off or completely disagree but this is the problem with this team. No offensive threat leads to too much pressure on D and Hank. They got away with it because of speed and the D being younger, but this is not the same team that went to the finals or won the presidents trophy.

If they essentially swap Stepan for Stamkos, without losing anyone else up front, the team will be extremely strong offensively.
