The recent quotes from Allen would change a lot

I'm still thinking Shatty for Eberle or Toronto with AZ as an outside possibility...

Jarmo monkey wrenched everything with Dubois, lol.

I don't think the Moose trade is as bad as most people do. It's the realistic return.

Please trade Shatty already, can't stand the speculation any longer!

If they don't use the cap space wisely, it will be a very poor deal. The goalie insurance factor decreased a lot. Nilsson is a lot less proven but the Blues must have liked what they saw during his black ace time in the playoffs.

is the cap space used to resign Backes, Brouwer, or Shatty. If Shatty then where does that leave Parayko. Allen will get a pay raise next year also., do we not resign Steen? Does Bouwmeester get traded? Have you heard ANY rumors about JBow??

Comments from Elliott's agent make it sound like he asked for a trade. WOW.

We had positive talks with the team. We've got a good relationship with Doug and his staff. They really worked in good faith. We're thankful for Brian's time in St. Louis. Now it's his time to grow."

Armstrong confirmed that Elliott's camp asked for a change if it was possible.

Sounds like the exit interview/contract extension conversations didn't go well earlier this month.

Looks like he wanted to be the number 1 guy and not split time again

Makes sense on both sides.

For Elliott to want to be the guy, and for the Blues not to just do that with his age/pending ufa/never been a good full time starter.

Good luck in Calgary Moose.

So, he's convinced he's the next Dwayne Roloson? Good luck to you, Mr. Elliott. Thanks for your play this year and work with your teammates.

I don't think Bishop is coming back.

St Louis just made a trade. Picking at 26 instead of 28...

Big kid. Not going to lie, don't know anything about him.

But the Blues we're keying on him according to Armstrong.

Per Wiz -

Tage - "Huge developmental winger from Long Island who needs more leg strength so he can get to the spots to use his size. Needs to develop his hockey instincts along with his skills and feet. For a huge specimen, doesn't make enough use of it. Doesn't read the attack well, or at this juncture, have the jump to stay in the play at both ends. Scored from deflections in front, and on the PP, where there was space. He will need to actually develop over the course of more than a few college seasons to show possibilities as a NHL- level contributor. "

Ah!

What they said about him on the broadcast was that he was a late year kid for his draft year and showed serious growth in his first year at college, both physically, and in his game. He went from a depth forward on the US development team to a 14 goal scorer for UConn in his freshman year.

Interesting that Wiz says he doesn't play well in the crowd but he identifies himself as a Cory Perry-type player. I guess we'll see...

Another detail to the trade per Armstrong in his interview with Strickland:

Conditional pick is ours if Calgary signs or trades Elliott before he becomes an ufa.
