Yeah this is weird to me. Seems like everyone agrees it's a pretty clear top 3 this year. So I wonder what they don't like. Also what does "off the board" mean? Anyone who is not the Finns? Or somebody really off the board?

That JVR trade proposal, with all those picks, prospects for #3 is way too much. Most are hoping #3 will even turn into a JVR imo.

My guess is it means off the consensus pick at that position. So not getting the second Finn and picking someone else is "off the board".

I would take a Matthews, JP, Tchachuk, Dubois before Laine....but that's just me. It's not his skill it's something about his attitude that seems like poison to me. Fine line between confidence and arrogance....and arrogance comes with a lot of other poopty traits.

Don't get me wrong, Laine is a really talented hockey player. An amazing one. But these scouts look at everything. This is a job interview to make millions of dollars which translates to a big chunk of cap space for a team. Every detail matters not just talent.

I just think he comes off a little douchey, and I wouldn't want that on my team.

Wingers are the fourth thing you need to win a Cup ask Ovechkin, E. Kane....I know Kessel and P. Kane say hello....but they have great teams filled with...

Centers, Defensemen, Goalies, Wingers. Cups are won in that order. IMO.

I just see an attitude problem...an "I'm the best don't tell me what to do" type thing.

The stuff he says about "he's better that JP and Matthews".

Just a gut feeling I get with this kid. I could be wrong...if you ask the wife it happens every time I open my mouth.
