I really want the Leafs to err on the side of keeping guys for now and letting them grow, see what happens. It's only been one year of this new coaching regime, I'd like to see them work with what they have. Obviously with the caveat that if the right deal comes along, you do it...but patience is a new approach for the Leafs.

I love how GM's go out and say "we didn't shop this player" because a deal was never made, even though legit reports came out to the media. IMO it's a slap in the face to the player. Because maybe you weren't shopping a player, but you were listening, and I don't think you should be listening to offers regarding your supposed "franchise player" because it'll most likely end ugly. That goes for all sports.

If Winnipeg's not set on Laine and the Leafs somehow get the 3rd, trading up or giving Win a pick or player to not pick Laine should be fairly straightforward. That would give them several young forwards who can both pass and shoot the puck well above average.

If they were to add Stamkos as well you can add him to that listl. Would be crazy to say the least.

yeah, it's pretty insane to think about, but (frank) , anything is possible. I believe that saying lol, whether some do or not. But it's been proven that anything can happen in sports (not just hockey)

I hate when they lie to protect themselves. It's fair for them, but it makes the player feel unwanted. Especially if it's a "franchise" player that has been given full confidence and poop.

I honestly feel bad for PK . He may seem like a POS on the ice, but you can deny his skill, and he seems like a real chill, cool guy off the ice . Wish him the best, I just hope MTL is straight up with him. If he's your guy, tell him. If he's not, don't beat around the bush and say "we never shopped him but we can't stop teams from calling" ..uhh, you can actually, lol.
