That's only small factor and you're overlooking the larger ones

The cap hit will be a massive road block to the team in the near and far future
The team is nowhere near a finished product, Stamkos makes the Leafs good enough to just miss the playoffs during a time when they need bottom 5 finishes.
3-4 of Stamkos' prime years are wasted on a team that is still rebuilding
Lastly, no one knows what this team will be in a year or two, you're blinded by prospect hype.

The leave campaign is being run by a right wing fascist under the guise of halting immigration and removing the influence of the EU on British laws.

The downside is that it would instantly remove any free trade agreements and the UK benefits significantly from them. The pound has already dropped a few percentage points since the leave campaign moved ahead. I'm no economist, but I think that this could cripple the UK in very short order
