No, the media is considered a conduit. I'm a little hazy on the details, but I believe when the Leafs were fined it was because Wilson went on the radio and said they were going to pursue the Sedins. What Benning said was less overt, but the same thing in principle.

I agree, I think(hope) all the noise Benning has been making about Stamkos, Subban, etc. is all chest thumping to convince the fans and ownership that he is trying to make this team a contender overnight.

As much as I have been critical of some of his moves I don't think he is stupid, he must (i hope) know the only route requires patience.

Yaks is still an interesting player, just needs to be rehabilitated in the right environment. Have to really wonder what he is worth.

The Oil had too many untouchables and were lacking results. I think that is slowly changing under PC.

Tanev and Hansen and 5 are a better package but I don't know if the 9ov is coming back.
