It's defintely not all about the cost. I am a big Glenlivet fan a long as it's 15 years old or more. Dalmore is another decent scotch but some can be a little too smoky for my taste.

Forty Creek Double Barrel Reserve is a solid whisky that I like alot and the ever so elusive 18 year old Wiser bottles are quite delicious too.

I've had a 21 year old Glenfiddich that was unreal but it's 300 a bottle I think...

$300 a bottle is probably a bit more then i'd like to spend on an alcohol i'm unsure about haha.

My father has a friend who works at the liqour mart (manitobas is government run) and every christmas they get 12 bottles of a type of liquor of their choice. The liquor is in all the same bottles and don't have labels so you have no idea which one your drinking. Taste them all. Some are real gross and others are delicious but you have no idea which one your drinking.

Glenlivet is a terrific one. I'm a big fan of Jack Daniels' Single Barrel, it's about 2x what ol #7 costs but well worth it, really smooth for a bourbon.

This year's best whiskey in the world is Crown Royal Northern Harvest and I heard was pretty good too but I haven't gone out to get one yet.

There's a whiskey fest in Courtenay I try to get to every year that is bottomless whiskey all night for 100 a ticket. Best money I ever spent. Tasted whiskey and Scotch from around the world.

It's a sad sad day. Scotland will have another referendum and will vote to stay in the single market. The banks will be rocked in the short term and most likely interest rates will rise making houses even more unaffordable. Cameron will most likely step down at some point soon. Global currencies will be unsteady, and the whole EU takes a massive hit just while Italy, Spain and Greece need bailouts.
