Yes, but the question remains....does he suck less, more or equally as much as McNeil, who has 1 career NHL game?
EDIT: I mean holy frank he's the former 1st overall!!....I'd take a chance on him for McNeil or a mid-round pick. If 72+15 cant help him produce then he's in the KHL after this season. No big loss for our own 1st round BUST. - EnzoD
We KNOW what McNeil's deal shakes out to.
Do you really think Yakupov is "just" taken another 2.5 mil to on the job train in Chicago in a year...or ...you just think he is worth screwing with the CAP right now because he is ready to "evolve?"
I don't - not worth what his contract is - and that's why and how you approach ideas on addition.
Maybe I think Lucic is the answer for the Hawks (I don't) ...why should I mention it of it isn't a fit? |

I think this is who he's talking about....Freddy Krueger for Malkin? I'd consider it....
- EnzoD
Would he only get 2min for slashing? |

Pittsburgh should have no interest in Kreuger. Run of the mill bottom six (fourth line) guy. We have those. AA is a complete enigma to me. Sorry, if Chicago is looking at Malkin and there is any truth to Pittsburgh being moved, you have to bring more to the table than AA, or Kreuger (nothing special) or Shaw. You don't have the goods IMO at all. Your deal coming back would have had to include terravainen, who you don't have anymore.
There is zero incentive for Pittsburgh to deal him there for the names you are throwing out. Sorry. - Oneonta Penguin
Good. We don't want the trade anyway. We don't have the cap room anyhow and we'd never trade one of our big guns for Malkin. This is a non issue now. Sorry. |

I believe it's spelled "McJesus", Wiz. As for Yakupov, you don't think he would be worth McNeil or a mid-round pick? He could potentially fill a Top 6 W hole at a fairly cheap $2.5mil. If he flames out, oh well, the cost was a 1st round bust with line 3 upside (at best) and his cap hit is off the books next summer. Your thoughts? - EnzoD
I guess after all the posts and discssion over the last weeks, I am still feeling there are posters in the discussion who think the hawks can actually go out and shop...
Maybe I have bought in to a incorrect gloom and doom scenario that a whole lot of competent posters here say is the reality...not enough money for Shaw and the bottom end of the roster...
so I just get crazy.
Yakupov will be dealt and cheaply and maybe just maybe he chances fire in that new town, just in time to expect a raise... |

So wild speculation of the day (think NHL16 GM mode)...funny that the cap hit could actually work.....2 deals centered around CC to Calgary for Bennett and AA and Shaw+ for Malkin.
NOTE NOT BASED ON REALITY - just showing how cap numbers could work in a creative way...or insane way |

Doubtful. Burke just believes that looking like a drunk that rolled out of the bushes is the "in look" these days. - EKB13

I don't really gamble, but I am curious about exactly how many trades involving 2016 first round picks do you all think will be made prior to the selection tomorrow?
If a team trades to two picks for one slot it is still ONE TRADE>
I have a guess but want to wait until you all guess first.... |

Still trying to get my head around why in Hades CC would ever go to CGY, Seabrook to EDM, or any of the NMC guys would ever agree to go to a cap floor/under cap budgeted team with no chance to win and/or in the tundra. |

Thinking Bowman wants to get a first round pick in this year's draft. Just thinking aloud here. Wonder if a Shaw + package can get him that? |

When it happens, then try to figure out why. Until then, not worth your time imho. |
