Not to sound like a pedantic arse, but it's Vesey who has to sign, not Buffalo.
They can't sign him.
Vesey can sign with the Sabres. - Atomic Wedgie
It's not really pedantic until you keep re-iterating that point. |

[quote=Dozzer any rock band from that era pretty much ripped off just about every black blues guitarist from the 30s and 40s
I presume you are referring to 60's and 70's rock bands - and your general statement is inaccurate.
Explain which blues guitarists were "ripped off" by the following top guitarists of the sixties and seventies
1) Dave Gilmour
2) Steve Howe
3) Frank Zappa
4) Jerry Garcia
5) George Harrison
6) Marc Bolan
7) Carlos Santana
8) Neil Young
Now if you are saying that there was influence by guitarists from the 30's and 40's such jazz guitarist as Django Reinhardt, blues greats like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Leadbelly, Son House, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Robert Johnson or Muddy Waters - then I could agree - it was not universal as you have indicated.
Now if you are intimating that the early sixties British Invasion (different era than Led Zeppelin) groups like the Yardbirds, Stones, Animals, Zombies and Spencer Davis Group "ripped off" the Blues Guitarists. Again you would not be entirely accurate because they revived the Blues throughout the early and late sixties. Jimi Hendrix covered all kinds of legendary blues songs, made them better and also covered Bob Dylan. The Blues revival which has continued to this day made the Blues Musicians far more famous than they were in their day. Guitarists like Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Roy Buchanan, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck and Joe Satriani. Blues and Jazz musicians of the 30's and 40's also covered great songs. |

i dont disagree... but lets face it... there are only 13 notes so there is only a limited amount of combinations... composers had all of them covered centuries ago - Dozzer
