Tanner is a joke. And while Karlsson is damn good. Its been a couple years since a Norris goes to a Dman who bring it all. Its not about putting up 70+ points. Just glad that both Doughty and Kopi both win an award people keep saying they should win. Both young enough to compete with the rest of the challengers. - poisondhearts37
I actually prob woulda voted for Burns. 27 goals is nuts for a D man. |

Congratz on doughtys life time achievement award. Too bad he won in a year when he was undispitedly eclipsed. Takes some of the merit out of it but that's alright. EKs just put up 90 points next season and dominate every non team reliant advanced statistic, again, to reaffirm his pedestal position. |

27 goals is nuts. And it would be very hard to vote against Burns. Hes playing the bridge between dman and forward. Making sick defensive plays and doing forward things. While being a big boy. I think Burns might be in the Doughty book. Where people thought they should have won before. And its just coming up the road. But again. Burns is far more offense than anything. And this year. We see that the committee looked beyond that. How often did these other guys do things defensively to take a game. I couldn't imagine what it was like voting on this stuff. |

I believe Burns was drafted a dman. And played defense until landing in SJ. |

I had a friend who was a huge Burns fan. I literally never knew he was a forward converted. Always thought the opposite. |

After looking it up, Lemaire got him on defense in his first year of pro. |

Yeah I knew he was drafted as a forward but didn't know he was converted to D that quickly. |

Say Brown pots 60 pts this yr. Still leave him unprotected?
Unless he is healthy scratched a bunch, I do think LV does you a favor, at least to hit the floor. - FLflames34

passing on lucic enables you to protect another player, be it pearson if you dont deal him, or maybe you dont have to choose between martinez or mcnabb now depending on which format you go with.
still have a hard time seeing LV take brown's contract over one of the aforementioned or say a nick shore. |

You better hope not. Yeah I'm sure the contract wouldn't be good but I would love watching Lucic and Nurse crushing Jenny Hockey a zillion times when he does his stupid pull up at the blue line to hit the trailer 10 times per game.
Payback for the abuse Hemsky took all those years. |
