Change that to 4th line checking role and I'm happy. This isn't the 80's, I don't want a checking line and a 4th line that can't do anything. Move that checking line down to 4 and the 3rd line can play D but also score.

My thing is this, if you think Girgensons would be able to play on the HBK line this year for Pittsburgh then keep him.

- Zschalberg

Yeah, that is where we diverge. I don't see why he couldn't replace Nick Bonino in the future on that HBK line. I think he can def be a 3rd line center on a team where his role isn't to score and I hope our roster puts him in a spot where he can take that role as well.

im happy it's cam ..but I know there are going to be a half a dozen people calling him soft as a marshmallow or all he does is hold a purse

He is what he is he's a great puck moving defenseman a pp qb etc

Well, if he survives the summer here then I hope you're right and I'm not. I just don't see it but I've been wrong in the past. To me he doesn't do any one thing all that well. But time will tell.

He's a faster and better Franson. So if that's true then let's trade Franson.

As for what we do with the lines I don't think we have that #1 guy but keeping that pick means we can use it to draft someone. Our defense was middle of the pack so an addition should help and I can live with that. Offense is the bigger need to me.

He's good passer and would be a nice complement to Risto who is physical. No way ANA is trading Lindholm. Think of it this way - how would you feel if the Sabres trades Risto?

They want fowler ,i am hearing girgensons and pysyk.
If stamkos doesnt resign with tampa. The sabres will do EVERYTHING THEY can to get stamkos.PEGULA wants him. Think about it. In order to get a player of stamkos caliber(if not a ufa) you would give up alot. Who cares if you overpay by 3 mill a year,YOU GIVE UP NOTHING. Secondly with vegas coming in ,the cap will go up and hopefully the canadian market will be better then Indonesia.

If they keep 8 it is between brown and nylander

Well I like him.

Honestly, Risto, Bogo, McCabe, Gorges, and Franson (when he is actually on the ice) can be physical defensemen. We need more offensive prowess like Risto (yes he is both), Pysyk, Nelson, and now hopefully Fowler.

If you can squeak out of this without touching any prospects or picks you can still use the 8 to trade for another D-man and just go for it!

I think he pushes the tempo well. That is really the only thing that makes him handy. When other guys are dogging it, he is going 100mph. A lot of people don't care about that but it can definitely make opposing players uncomfortable and cause mistakes/turnovers ... he just needs a linemate to cash in those forced mistakes.

I've also been wrong before ... but hope you are in this case

Risto for Lindholm that's a tough one. They are both opposite sides of the spectrum, Risto being more of an offensive defenseman and Lindholm defensesive. I think you need a player like both to win a championship.
