Once again ....a goalie ....give them a goalie and they are a playoff team - Redmile247
Dallas had two terrible goalies and were the best team in the western conference. |

I hope you never find one - LeftCoaster

so sorry I guess our fanbase forgot about the actual head to head playoff matchup 14 months ago. To me that was an indicator of where the Canucks actually are. |

Yes but beyond the sedins we don't have any top caliber players and in their late 30s I just don't see them being good enough to carry a team. Without any big trades or free agent signings we are a bottom feeder team. This is the Gillis era finally coming to the surface.

Would anyone swap that #5 pick for Coyote's #7 and #20 picks? They said they've discussed trading up.
Also - Does anyone know if you're still allowed to trade cash in the NHL? Like can you trade a bad contract and also trade the cash to cover it separately? |

You should probably keep Bernier. It's important to have an intelligent guy in the locker room who can educate his teammates about the former greats that have shaped the game; your Mandelas and Einstiens and Ghandis and what have you. |

I said it before..... Lucic was a Canuck the moment the Kings were ousted.
And I for one, am thrilled. |

There is no number of games threshold. Rule states that all first and second year professionals are exempt. 2015-16 was Nylander's first professional year as he played in both NHL and AHL. 2016-17 will be his second year. At the time of the draft he will be a second year professional and exempt. I assume that is also true for Virtanen. - Canada Cup
Just look at Nylander stats at Hockey DB compared to Virtanen's. According to that you would be incorrect. Nylander played 37 games in 2014-15 and close to the same last year as well as some NHL games. I'm not sure why that is the case but while Virtanen remained playing for the Calgary Hitman, Nylander played regular season games for the Marlies. Pretty clear once you look at those games played.
While it may not have burned a year off Nylander's ELC, he defintely played 2 seasons and enough games of Pro hockey to make him eligible compared to Virtanen. |

Hudson Bay?
I know you said the north when you said you were away for 3 weeks. Maybe the Arctic. We have an ex Coast Guard fellow in town who did most of his time patrolling the Arctic. |

If Tkatchuk or either of the fins are available, No. If not then yes. Take that guy from the bchl who was captain of team canada at the under 18s and out scored mcdavids totals at that tourney when he was the same age

I would do that trade. You are a lock to get one of the top 5 forwards or Joulevi or sergachyov plus at 20 you are still getting a solid pick too.
Part 2: No clue i havent seen it done so assuming no |
