Sign Reimer to a 2 year if he excepts, otherwise go as high as 3. Otherwise, lets just trade a 5th or 6th or a prospect that is no longer waiver exempt and not likely to make the team this year, like Shore or even Agostino, for Bernier. Or better yet just swap bad contract with Wideman like others have suggested. He has 1 year left. He could have a bounce back with a change of scenery and a competent D in front of him. Then next year we look into these now desperate GM's that need to move a guy like MAF.

Agostino and Shore are career AHLers. The more I hear about cost, the more Id rather go for the cheap option. I just happen to trust Halak more than Reimer or Bernier.

The Bernier play would be fine as well. I would even look at doing the Stars a favour and taking Niemi at 2x4.5 remaining depending on how they sweetened the deal.
