Michalek still plays hockey in the NHL???? Colin Greening is allowed to as well?

Vesey is better than everyone you listed there besides Marner and Nylander. Stop kidding yourself. Hyman, Brown, Soschnikov, and Kapenen. Pffftt.

Hyman had 37 pts in 59 games in the AHL.
Brown had 29 pts in 34 games in the AHL (maybe best one of the group)
Soshnikov had 28 pts in 52 games in the AHL.
Kapanen had 25 pts in 44 games in the AHL.

Christ... Philip Varone had 32 pts in 44 games, William Carrier had 30 pts in 56, even Baptiste had 28 pts in 62 games and his debut AHL year was basically a disaster.

Get real man. They are not god sends.

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one.

What are you going to do with him? the same thing you did with Brad Richards, Gaborik and Nash........... Nothing.
- SABRES 89

I like to think we had some success in recent years. Not the ultimate goal, obviously, but a Presidents Trophy and 3 deep runs including a SCF berth have been pretty exciting as a fan.

If you consider that "nothing" then 29 other teams in the league are absolute failures every year including the Hawks, Kings, Sharks, Lightning, and Blues this year.

It's stamkos he will score 40 goals maybe even 50 with jack guaranteed
That's worth it

- GERBE!!!75PTS

10-11 is a good number for Stamkos, 12 is pushing it a little IMO but i'm sure the Leafs will pay it, then they will run him out of town later.

We'll be trading Stepan for Dumba and a 1st. Then use the free cap space to sign Stamkos

No, he wont. Ovechkin barely scores 50 anymore and he is the best scorer in the league.

12MM is too much for one player.

In no way shape or form do the Rangers have a roster that could compete for the Stanley Cup

I beg to differ

I'm just happy about them bashing America while at the same time hanging their hats on a franchise American.

Did you read his quote? He wants to choose where he plays and was pretty clear about the criteria. He's not going to let a deal between 2 GMs take that decision away from him.

Your jealousy is showing you do understand these two have the biggest bromance
In hockey ? He will be signed probably on draft day

No you've done nothing, the Hawks and Kings have cups so they aren't failures.

If you don't think Lundqvist is still an elite goalie just because the eventual Stanley Cup champions beat us, then I don't know what to tell ya bud

He's not getting any younger. I'm a big fan of Lundqvist, but he had a very rough go of it in the playoffs. He did not look like himself. At all.

In no way is that his fault. He is the best goalie in the league hands down and always puts the rangers in a position to win.

I wish we had a goalie like that. (sans cap hit)

Panarin-like?

Vesey??

You mean he is similar to Panarin, who spent 7 years in professional hockey before coming to play in North America?

Listen guys, NCAA hockey is solid and better than it has ever been, but a 23 year old who wins the Hobey Baker is not assured of being anything close to a star in the NHL. Just look back through the history of the NCAA and the award.

Jeez, people.

Dreger on Buffalo w/ Stamkos and Vesey:

This seems like a no brainer if you are a UFA looking for a team that is hungry.

“I mean, if the Buffalo Sabres are going to spend that kind of dough in free agency on Steven Stamkos… if I’m Jimmy Vesey, and I’m looking at what we have in Jack Eichel, the aggressiveness if they’re able to land another piece like Stamkos, why wouldn’t I consider (Buffalo) as the real deal.”

Dude is going on 35. He is going down fast. Again the Rangers don't have a team to compete for the Stanley Cup.

The team in front of him didn't give him much help this year

Hopefully we bounce back like the Sharks did. But really, I expect a very different Rangers team on opening night.

I'll take Price as best goalie in the NHL.

He said that they are always contenders purely because of Henrik... He said it is in his hands. So I just reiterated how that went. I completely agree that a goalie doesn't make a team. He said it though.
